Paul Connor is Manager, Economic Research & Analysis at Niagara Region. Prior to this posting, he served as Administrator, then President, then Senior Advisor to the Network of Angel Organizations – Ontario (NAO-O), the province-wide grouping of Angel investor groups which put funding into early-stage, scalable (usually technology) companies. In the latter role contributed to and edited Age of the Angel, a handbook for Angel investing, while earning a Master’s in Business Administration (Management of Technology & Innovation) at Ryerson University. Prior to that, as President of NAO-O he secured federal and provincial funding over three years to sustain and grow the network. In this and prior roles, Paul was in charge of all research and statistics, proving the economic impact of the Angel network as a whole was at least 40 dollars of private investment for every dollar of public funding received.
